Samir BOUZBOUZ

CNRS Researcher (HDR)

Fluorinated biomolecules synthesis team

BIOGRAPHY

Samir Bouzbouz obtained his PhD in organic chemistry at Nantes university in 1994 under the supervision of Dr Bernard Kirschleger and Pr Jean Villiéras. After a post-doctoral stay with Professor J. Cossy at ESPCI (Paris), and with Professor S. Hanessian at the University of Montreal (Canada), he joined the CNRS in 2001. His research focuses on the development of new synthetic methodologies and application to natural and/or biologically active compounds. His research in the Fluorinated Biomolecules Synthesis team at COBRA laboratory focuses on sustainable chemistry through the development of new eco-efficient catalytic synthesis methodologies in water (green chemistry) using tandem cascade processes and the concept of chirality transfer in water from fluorinated derivatives to access to new chiral derivatives of synthetic interests.
