Dominique CAHARD

CNRS Research Director

Équipe synthèse de biomolécules fluorées

BIOGRAPHY

Dominique Cahard joined the CNRS in 1996 as an Associate Researcher, completed his Habilitation in 2001, and was promoted to Director of Research in 2007. In his early career, he received his PhD in 1994 from the University of Rouen under the supervision of Pr Pierre Duhamel and Pr Jean-Marie Poirier; then, enjoyed two postdoctoral positions with Pr. Chris McGuigan at Southampton University (UK) and at the Welsh School of Pharmacy in Cardiff (Wales), and with Pr. Tadashi Nakata at RIKEN, Tokyo (Japan). His research interests concern innovative methodologies for the synthesis of fluorinated molecules with emphasis for asymmetric approaches and the synthesis of fluorinated biomolecules.
